The Mighty Isaiah Zagar

January 11, 2011

A co-worker of mine mentioned that she was going to a gala event in South Philly for Isaiah. I thought I had a good working knowledge of the man. I knew he was responsible for many of the the folk/outsider art inspired, mosaic covered buidlings in Philly (it turns out over 100!). Little did I realize how polished his enterprise had become. Now a non-profit art institution, his original residence on South Street serves as indoor gallery, mosaic workshop site, as well as concert venue and event space.
